The agency is issuing this source sought synopsis as a means of conducting market research to identify parties having an interest in and the resources to support this requirement for Alexander T. Augusta Military Medical Center. The result of this market research will contribute to determining the method of procurement. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code identified above is assigned to this procurement. There is no solicitation currently. This request for capability information does not constitute a request for proposals; submission of any information in response to is purely voluntary; the government assumes no financial responsibility for any costs incurred. The Point of Care Testing Section needs ten (10) “No-Cost” Accu-Chek, glucose meters and service warranty IAW the attached SOW. Tin exchange for the “no-cost” meters and service, the Government will purchase meters, test strips, controls, and linearity kit for a Base and 4 option years. The system must be able to interface with the Remote Automated Lab System (RALS) and interface patient results with MHS Genesis. The meter must be able to be set-up with the following parameters: date and time format, input mode for patient ID and operator ID, type and schedule of controls, results screen for patients and controls, enter comment after a test, review results and transfer data. Must allow for barcode scanning for entering patient ID, operator ID, controls, or linearity reagent codes. The meter must be able to store results, operator IDs, patient IDs, predefined comments, lot numbers of strips, controls, and linearity. Contractor will be able to provide equipment replacement for broken or nonfunctioning meters within 24-48 of receipt of broken meters as well as provide 24/7 telephonic technical support for troubleshooting or to answer technical questions regarding the equipment or application. Additional requirement stated in Statement of Work. The contractor shall be an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) authorized dealer, authorized distributor, or authorized reseller for the proposed equipment/system such that OEM warranty and service are provided and maintained by the OEM. All software licensing, warranty, and service associated with the equipment/system shall be in accordance with the OEM terms and conditions. This contract will have an initial base year ordering period with four (4) subsequent option years. Delivery of consumables is required on as needed basis or for ordering by authorized individual. The contract start date is anticipated to be September 2024. Additional details of the requirement can be found in Attachment 1 (Statement of Work).
