The Mission and Installation Contracting Command, Fort Gordon, GA is issuing this sources sought synopsis as a means of conducting market research to identify potential sources having an interest and industry technologies available to support/provide the following products: Salient Characteristics: This acquisition is for Forensic Laboratory instrument Life Technologies maintenance repair service: Life Technologies 7500 RT-PCR Instrument, quantity 5 Life Technologies 3500 XL Genetic Analyzer, quantity 6 Life Technologies BSD 600 Duet, quantity 2 Life Technologies 9700-96 Well, Sample Module, quantity 11 Life Technologies Veriti Thermal Cycler, quantity 6 Life Technologies COPAN CPA 200, quantity 1 Life Technologies ION chef, quantity 1 Life Technologies ProFlex Thermal Cycler, quantity 12 Life Technologies ION S5, quantity 1 Services include one annual preventative maintenance service which covers all of the required maintenance outlined in the instrument handbook provided by the instrument manufacturer. Included are the costs for any parts which need to be replaced and the consumables needed to perform the maintenance. The service also covers any repairs that are needed on the instrument and software updates during the covered period. Repairs include the cost of the parts and labor associated with the repair. The result of this market research will contribute to determining the method of procurement, if a requirement materializes. Based on the responses to this sources sought notice/market research, this requirement may be set-aside for small businesses (in full or in part) or procured through full and open competition. Multiple awards may be made. All small business set-aside categories will be considered. Telephone inquiries will not be accepted or acknowledged, and no feedback or evaluations will be provided to companies regarding submissions.
