This is not a Request for Quote (RFQ) or a Request for Proposal (RFP). This announcement is for information and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, implied or otherwise, to issue a solicitation or award a contract. The USPFO OR, Purchasing and Contracting (P&C) Office is seeking small business sources for a supply requirement entitled: "Sources Sought for USPFO OR - Disintegrator". This is scheduled to be issued as a Firm Fixed Price contract. The purpose of this sources sought is to determine interest and capability of potential qualified Small Business (SB), 8(a) small businesses, Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZONE) small businesses and Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSBs) relative to the North American Industry Classification code (NAICS) . To make an appropriate acquisition decision for this project, the Government may use responses to this sources sought synopsis. The type of solicitation issued and the manner of advertisement may depend on the responses to this sources sought synopsis. SPECIFICATIONS - ORARNG SOLID STATE DISINTEGRATOR 1.0 PERFORMANCE ORARNG must sanitize solid state media by turning it into 2mm size particles with a solid state media disintegrator. The disintegrator must have the following salient characteristics: 1.1 CLASSIFICATION REQUIREMENTS 1.1.1 Device must be listed in the National Security Agency (NSA) Evaluated Products List-Solid State Media Disintegrators (EPL-SS). 1.1.2 Disintegrator must be evaluated and approved by the National Security Agency for the physical destruction of solid state media, such as memory cards, thumb drives, circuit cards in solid state drives and solid state enterprise drives, internal components in cell phones and tablets, as well as optical media, such as CDs and DVDs to 2mm particle size. 1.2 MEDIA 1.2.1 Device must destroy solid state media, including memory cards, thumb drives, solid state drives, cell phones and tablets to 2 mm particle size. 1.2.2 Device must destroy optical media, including CDs and DVDs to 2 mm particle size. 1.2.3 Device must accept media no larger than 0.9 inches by 8.5 inches with throughput of 50lbs/hr. 1.3 PERFORMANCE and SAFETY 1.3.1 Device must be a simple, push-button, automatic operation. 1.3.2 Device must be able to sense overload and reverse automatically to clear and prevent jams. 1.3.3 Device must have an automatic bin-full sensor. 1.3.4 Device must have destruction blades, grinders and screens that must be easily reused, adjusted and replaced. 1.3.5 Device acoustics must be less than 85 dB. 1.3.6 Device must use a self-contained, 3-phase air filtration system consisting of pre, carbon and HEPA filters. 1.3.7 Device's destruction blades must be out of reach, device must have an emergency stop button as well as safety rated cover interlocks. 1.3.8 Device's MAIN power switch must be able to accept a lock for Lockout/Tagout in the OFF position. 1.4 DIMENSIONS & WEIGHT 1.4.1 Device's footprint must be no greater than 27.5 inches x 43 inches with a height no taller than 49 inches. 1.4.2 Device must weigh no more than 1,200 pounds. 1.4.3 Device must have heavy-duty, swivel caster wheels. 1.5 POWER REQUIREMENTS 1.5.1 Device must be 200-240V, 1 phase, 50/60 Hz, 6A.
