Request for Information: B-52 Heritage Monument
This RFI is for market research only, not a solicitation, and no funds are presently available. The 412th Test Wing seeks capable sources to design, fabricate, and deliver an outdoor Heritage monument honoring the B-52H “Torch II” crew, featuring a 1/16-scale aircraft on an octagonal granite pedestal with bronze plaques and a sighting wall. Phase 1 requires an interim resin replica (approx. 12-ft wingspan, 10-ft length), granite pedestal and sighting wall, eight crew biography plaques plus two dedication/mission plaques, with a hard delivery deadline of May 7, 2027; contractor foundation design is in scope while earthwork, excavation, concrete placement, and paving are by Base Civil Engineering. Phase 2 requires a permanent museum-grade silicon bronze replica within one year of contract award, replacing the interim model, which will be turned over to the Edwards AFB Museum. Interested parties should submit capability statements via email to the specified contacts and must have active SAM registration.
