This is a Synopsis as required by the Small Business Act (15 U.S.C. 637(e)) and the Office of Federal Procurement Policy Act (41 U.S.C. 416), and fulfills the synopsis and advertising requirements prescribed in FAR Part 5 – Publicizing Contract Actions. The solicitation will consist of one NSN: Line Item 0001: NSN – 7025-01-624-3792 (Disk Drive Unit) This item is proprietary to DRS Network and Imaging Systems LLC (Cage Code: 32865) (Part Number - 9800-96616-0512). Adequate data for the evaluation of alternate offers is not available at the procurement agency. The offeror must provide a complete data package including data for the approved and alternate part for evaluation. The solicitation issue date will be on or around 8/07/2024, and the closing date will be on or around 09/06/2024. The solicitation will be unrestricted, utilizing other than full and open competition for a definite quantity type contract and does not authorize delivery of any material. The government plans to award a Fixed Price Definite Quantity Contract for a quantity of 8,000 each. Only FOB Origin pricing will be acceptable. In order to receive an award, regardless of dollar value, you must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM). The SAM site may be accessed at https://www.sam.gov. The final contract award decision will be Price Only. A copy of the solicitation can be obtained through the DLA Internet Bulletin Board System (DIBBS). DLA Troop support is researching the possibility of a solicitation for the referenced item under a Definite Quantity or Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity Contract. Support of the item will be based on stock deliveries, where the material is delivered to DLA Depots throughout the United States.
