The laser is intended for daily use on active duty members to support grooming standards, with an estimated medical value of 10–15k per day. It must support vascular lesion treatment with 1.5mm and 3mm spot sizes, as well as hair removal with larger spot sizes ranging from 12mm to 24mm; an 18mm upper limit is acceptable, though larger options are preferred. The device is expected to be FDA cleared, and no integration with existing equipment is required, though using the same dynamic cooling system as the clinic’s current lasers would be advantageous.
