The purpose of this sources sought notice is to conduct market research to determine if responsible sources exist by determining if this effort can be successfully competed through full and open competition. The Government will use this information to determine the best acquisition strategy for this procurement. The Government is interested in all large and small businesses to include 8(a), Service-Disabled Veteran- Owned, HubZone, and Women-Owned small business concerns. The Medical Readiness Contracting Office, West (MRCO-W), JBSA, Fort Sam Houston, Texas, is seeking potential sources to provide an ophthalmic laser system that operates using pattern scanning laser technology and provides the ability to perform the full range of anterior and posterior laser procedures, for posterior treatment of diabetic retinopathy, macular edema, age-related macular degeneration, choroidal neovascularization with wet age-related macular degeneration, lattice degeneration, retinal tears and detachments for patients of the Brook Army Medical Center (BAMC), JBSA - Fort Sam Houston, Texas. For anterior segment treatment of ocular pathology: iridotomy and trabeculoplasty. Minimum Requirements: - The Ophthalmic Laser System must operate utilizing pattern scanning laser technology - The Ophthalmic Laser System must operate as a dual port patter scanning laser system - The Ophthalmic Laser System must operate utilizing 532nm laser wavelength - The Ophthalmic Laser System must have method of photocoagulation that treats retinal and glaucoma disorders using a single spot or utilizing a wide variety of user-selected pattern arrays - The Ophthalmic Laser System must have customizable beam patterns and must have the following standard beam patterns: Single Spot, Array, Triple Arc, Triple Ring, Arc, Line, Circle, Enhanced Octants, Wedge, and Hexagon - The Ophthalmic Laser System must be able to perform Pattern Scanning Laser Trabeculoplasty (PSLT) treatment that reduces Intraocular Pressure (IOP) - The Ophthalmic Laser System must have computer guided subthreshold laser treatment software that allows for the provider to easily modulate laser power and pulse duration into a therapeutic area of the patient’s retina, treating Central Serious Retinopathy, Macular Edema, and other ophthalmic pathologies without visible burns - The Ophthalmic Laser System must operate using four (4) fiber optic laser beam delivery system that results in easier focus, and produces predictable and uniform spots - The Ophthalmic Laser System must incorporate separate fiber beams (one for each spot size) into each system. Compared to other ophthalmic laser technologies, the fiber beam design creates a more consistent and focused spot size for each laser treatment - The Ophthalmic Laser System must have a short laser pulse duration (10 ms) which results in faster procedures with less pain, collateral damage, and scarring for the patient versus conventional Ophthalmic laser burn systems - The Ophthalmic Laser System must have Four Fiber Beam delivery system that emits multiple laser spots onto the retina that creates a wide depth of focus providing consistent laser therapy uptake - The Ophthalmic Laser System must have delivered laser spot sizes of 50, 100, 200 and 400 um (microns) - The Ophthalmic Laser System must have power output range of 0 – 2000 mW, Treatment Pulse Duration from 5 to 1000ms, and Aim Beam 635nm diode - The Ophthalmic Laser System must have Slit Lamp compatibility with Haag-Streit BQ900 and BM900 slit lamps and Topcon SL-PA04 and SL-D7 slit lamps - The Ophthalmic Laser System must have the delivery Slit Lamp with 8 degrees of angle for the binocular system and magnification settings of 5x, 8x, 13x, 20x, and 32x - The Ophthalmic Laser System must have integrated laser design eliminating the need to center the laser before treatment and has no exposed fiber optic cables - The Ophthalmic Laser System must have a dual column table that allows for wheelchair accessibility - Power source considerations for this item: 100-240 VAC, 50/60 Hz, 200 VA - Operator Training Requirements: conducted by vendor at set-up/install - Calibration at set-up by vendor This is not a solicitation.
