The Defense Health Agency (DHA) Southeastern Markets Contracting Division intends to negotiate a contract on a sole source basis (IAW FAR 13.501(a) sole source acquisitions). The proposed source is A&B Technical, LLC, 794 Barkley Crest Cir, Auburn, Alabama 38830-2170. This is a non-personal services requirement to provide calibration, maintenance, and repair of medical equipment and test measurement and diagnostic equipment (TMDE) in support of USNH Guantanamo Bay and Joint Medical Group /Joint Task Force (JMG/JTF). The awarded contract will be for a period of 12 months. This requirement will provide on-site calibration and maintenance services to include corrective maintenance for all equipment listed on the attached GTMO Service Maintenance Requirement – Equipment List attachment. A limited amount of equipment may be shipped off-site as a secondary method of maintenance when necessary. Maintenance on the equipment will be conducted within the original equipment manufacturers (OEM) specifications, in accordance with the US, and local law and regulations, DHA and US Navy regulations, instructions, and the Joint Commission (TJC) standards. DHA and US Navy regulations and instructions will be made available upon request. Maintenance will also cover product recalls or upgrades are necessary to maintain the equipment in service within the original manufacturer’s specifications. There are not set-aside restrictions for this requirement. The intended procurement will be classified under North America Industry Classification System (NAICS) 811210 – Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation document exists for this requirement. However, parties interested in responding to this notice will need to submit technical data sufficient to determine capability in providing the same services at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. All capability statements received by the closing date of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
