The purpose of this sources sought notice is to conduct market research to determine if responsible sources exist by determining if this effort can be successfully competed and/or set-aside for Small Businesses. The proposed North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 325412 – Pharmaceutical Preparation Manufacturing 1,250 employees. The Government will use this information to determine the best acquisition strategy for this procurement. The Government is interested in all large and small businesses to include 8(a), Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, HubZone, and Women-Owned small business concerns. The Regional Health Contracting Office - Central, JBSA, Fort Sam Houston, Texas, is seeking potential sources to provide Cardioplegia Reperfusate (a sterile, nonpyrogenic, isotonic formulation of electrolytes in water for injection) for the Department of Pharmacy, San Antonio Military Medical Center (SAMMC), Fort Sam Houston, Texas. Period of Performance is one base year plus three option years. Salient characteristics are listed below: Cardioplegic solution Shall Be for use in intracardiac perfusion, Shall be manufactured in a FDA 503b accredited facility The compounded product shall be a modified Buckberg solution in a 500 ml Bag containing: 62.5 ml of monosodium L-aspartate and monosodium L- Glutamate at a concentration of 0.92 Molar 112.5 ml tromethamine at a concentration of 0.3 Molar 112.5 ml of CP2D 17.3 ml Dextrose 70% Potassium 15mEq per Bag. sterile water shall be used to QS formula to final product approx. 477mls with approx. 632mOsm/L This is not a solicitation.
