Classification Code: J -- Maintenance, repair & rebuilding of equipment/J066 - Maintenance, Repair, and Rebuilding of Equipment- Instruments and Laboratory Equipment NAICS Code: 8112 Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance/ 811219 -- Other Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance NOTICE INFORMATION Agency/Office: Army Contracting Command Location: ACC - APG (W911QY) Natick (SPS) Title: JEOL JEM-2010 Transmission Electron Microscope Description(s): The US Army Contracting Command APG, Natick Contracting Division, on behalf of the US Army Natick Soldier Research, Development and Engineering Center, Warfighter Directorate, intends to award a firm fixed price contract under FAR 13.106-1(b) (1) only one responsible source to JEOL USA Inc., 11 Dearborn Road, Peabody, MA 01961 for Inspection and Annual Preventative maintenance to the JEOL JEM-2010 Transmission Electron Microscope. Any responses to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government and demonstrate capabilities with trained technicians to provide the necessary services required. Requirements: The contractor's primary focus shall be to inspect, maintain, and repair the Government owned property. The contractor shall conduct pre-inspection and minor repair prior to entering a Maintenance Service Contract for the JEM-2010 Transmission Electron Microscope (TEM) with JEOL USA. At the governments' option, the contractor shall provide annual Maintenance Service, performing an annual preventative maintenance routine and performing other diagnoses and repairs as necessary to ensure the JEM-2010 remains in proper safe working order to support the NSRDEC research efforts. Specialized Experience: The contractor shall have demonstrated skills in inspecting and repair of the JEM-2010 instrument. The contractor shall be a factory certified and trained service technician. Period of Performance: The Proposed contract will include a onetime Pre-inspection and repair, with four consecutive twelve month preventative maintenance routine and repair options. Place of Performance: The performance for this work will be at the Natick Soldier Research Development and Engineering Center (NSRDEC), Natick, MA.
