This is a combined synopsis/solicitation procurement action for professional services to generate an Economic Analysis of Whale-watching tourism in Alaska per the attached performance work statement (PWS) included in this request for quote (RFQ) NMFS AKR-19-0802 prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Part 13. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this procurement is 541990 and is a Small Business Set-Aside. The objective of this contract is for professional service to collect meaningful data to generate a citable economic report valuing whale-watching tourism in Alaska; specifically detailing what portions of this revenue remain in Alaska's economy. Results of this report shall give insight to the importance of sound management of humpback whales and other marine mammals and further justify the need to study and protect these important marine resources. NOAA NMFS Alaska Regional Office of Management Division (OMD), requires that all contractors and vendors doing business with OMD be registered with the System for Award Management (SAM).
