Sole Source Teledyne Acoustic Doppler Current Profilers
NOAA's Pacific Marine Environmental Laboratory intends to sole-source procure two Teledyne Acoustic Doppler Current Profilers (ADCPs) and accessories from Teledyne RD Instruments in Poway, CA, due to compatibility requirements with existing systems. Delivery is required within 90 days from the date of award. The sole-source determination is based on the need for form, fit, and function compatibility with current deployment hardware, telemetry, and data processing pipelines, as Teledyne is the only U.S. source capable of meeting this need. Replacing aging units with Teledyne ADCPs ensures data continuity, minimizes integration risks, and avoids costs from reconfiguration or retraining. Firms that believe they can fully meet the requirements may submit substantiating documentation within 15 days after publication of this synopsis.
