This Sources Sought Notice is not a Request for Quote and does not constitute a commitment by the Government. The Government is currently conducting market research in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 10 to identify potential sources to fulfill the requirement and gather information on current capabilities of businesses within the market. All information submitted in response to this Sources Sought Notice is voluntary and the Government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the Government. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Weather Service (NWS) issues watches, warnings, forecasts and advisories for the United States (US), its territories, adjacent waters and ocean areas. Uninterruptable Power Supply (UPS) systems are a central component for providing the essential uninterruptable supply of power that is needed to provide these critical functions. The Government intends to issue a Firm-Fixed-Price type, Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) with a five year ordering period. The National Weather Service (NWS) Weather Forecast Offices (WFOs) within Central, Western, Southern and Eastern Regions, are seeking proposals for an assortment of replacement UPS batteries for the Eaton Powerware 9315-50, Mitsubishi 2033A 50KVA, Mitsubishi 2033A 75KVA, Mitsubishi 1133A 50KVA, Toshiba 4400F3F 50KVA, Toshiba 4400F3F 80KVA, Riello MHT 250 250KVA, APC Galaxy VS 50KVA, APC Symmetra PX 50KVA, and APC Symmetra PX 80KVA.
