The purpose of this Request For Information is to obtain information about the capability and availability of acquiring or hiring for service, a commercial, and/or university-affiliated vessels to provide support to NOAA's surface buoy recovery and deployment approximately 300 nautical miles vicinity of 32.3°N, 144.6°E southeast of Tokyo, Japan. NOAA is requesting responses for information for chartering services, or ship lease with crew provided by the respondent. NOAA requests respondents describe their ability to fulfill the specified mission activities. Another purpose of this notice is to obtain information regarding: (1) the availability and capability of qualified small business sources; (2) whether you are small businesses; HUBZone small businesses; service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses; 8(a) small businesses; veteran-owned small businesses; woman-owned small businesses; or smalldisadvantaged businesses; other than small business; and (3) your size classification relative to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for theproposed acquisition. The NAICS for this proposed acquisition is 488390. The Small Buisness Standard is $41.5M. Your responses to the information requested will assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition method, including whether a set-aside is possible. RESPONSE DUE DATE: The requested information shall be submitted by 4:30 PM Pacific Time on May 20th 2021. The Government is not obligated to and will not pay any costs incurred in the preparation of any submission to this market survey.
