Transformer Service
The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) seeks a contractor to perform visual inspections, oil sampling, and oil analyses for all liquid-filled transformers at its Gaithersburg, Maryland facility. This work is intended to mitigate risks of arc flash, component failure, structural fire, and electric shock. The contract will be awarded based on a solicitation that includes a Source Sought Notice, Statement of Work, and other attachments. An amendment on June 9, 2026, added Attachment E and updated Attachment B. The location for performance is the NIST facility in Gaithersburg, Maryland.
