(3)Extend the response date to 3/2/2020 by 4:00 PM MST.--- ***PLEASE SEE ATTACHED COMBINED SYNOPSIS FOR DESCRIPTION AND TERMS AND CONDITIONS*** This project is for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Weather Service (NWS) Southern Region, Weather Forecast Offices (WFO) at San Juan, Puerto Rico. Existing UPS is broken and we cannot find replacement parts to fix it because manufacturer does not make them anymore for that old model. Objective: Remove and properly dispose of existing UPSs, battery cabinet, batteries, and any associated debris. Supply and install 1 each UPS, battery cabinet (if separate), and batteries. Brand Name Justification for Eaton UPS System: This particular brand name is essential to the requirement and market research indicates similar products do not meet or cannot be modified to meet agency needs. Eaton 93PM UPS system has the ability to increase and decrease load utilizing power modules and internal software to meet the needs of the changing load requirements of the NWS. Also the 93PM can support lithium Ion batteries. Replacement with the system identified will decrease operations cost in the future. The required supplies or service must be compatible in all aspects (form, fit, and function) with existing systems or equipment and the source is uniquely qualified to meet the requirement. Eaton systems will also fit the different configured electrical room with very little to zero modifications to the current electrical room configurations.
