The U.S. Department of Commerce (DOC), National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Eastern Region Headquarters (ERH) intends to solicit for a fixed-price type contract, using FAR Part 12 Acquisition of Commercial Products and Commercial Services and FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures for snow and ice removal commercial services at the National Weather Service Forecast Office (NWSFO) and the Sterling Field Support Center (SFSC), both located in Sterling, VA. The anticipated period of performance is for a base period of twelve (12) months, beginning on or about August 2, 2022 and four twelve (12) month option years. Services include contractor furnished equipment, materials, and personnel with the best industry standards for effective and efficient snow removal services. The NWSFO and SFSC are both 24-hour locations. This acquisition is 100% set-aside for a Women Owned Small Business (WOSB) concern. A resultant solicitation will be published on SAM.gov on or about June 16, 2022. Any WOSB that submits a quotation in response to the solicitation will be considered. The Government intends to award a single contract to the responsible offeror whose offer provides the best value for the government. The Government requires that all contractors doing business be active at time of award and registered with System for Award Management (SAM). No award can be made to a company not registered in SAM.
