This Request for Quote (RFQ) is for Setra Digital Pressure Transducers for the National Logistics Support Center in Grandview, MO. Please carefully review and follow the Offeror Instructions in the solicitation documents. The NAICS code for this action is 334519 and is set aside 100 percent for small businesses. This acquisition is being processed under the procedures of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This constitutes the only Request for Quotation (RFQ) written offers are being requested. This notice is hereby issued as RFQ No.NW-WG3400-23-00089. This RFQ and the incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2021-02. The line items shall be provided in accordance with the specifications listed in the attached solicitation SF-1449 document. BRAND NAME JUSTIFICATION: The SETRA 470_ASOS digital pressure transducer fits the required form, fit and function needed to support the ASOS system. All spares for fielded equipment in this program are required to be identical to the item which is currently in use in the field. It is not possible to substitute for this item as introducing a different Brand Pressure Sensor could adversely impact the needs of the Department of Defense (DOD) our customers and alike. In short this part has to be identical to what we already use to be a valid replacement. Acceptance of any other brand Switch other than the original equipment would require that testing be completely re-accomplished. This is not acceptable, as it would require significant funding and time to accomplish. For this reason, only the specified SETRA BRAND pressure sensor 470_ASOS are deemed acceptable at this time. DOC, Eastern Region Acquisition Division requires that all contractors doing business with this office be registered with the System for Award Management (SAM). No award can be made to a company not registered in SAM. To register, all contractors must have a unique entity identifier (UEI) that is used to do business with the federal government. The Government has moved to a free new, non-proprietary identifier that will have to be requested in, and assigned by, the System for Award Management (SAM.gov). You can register and access the site by going to www.sam.gov. The Government intends to make an award to the responsive responsible quoter providing the best value to the Government. The Government reserves the right to make a comparative evaluation of quotes in determining best value in accordance with FAR 13.106-2(b)(3). "Best value" means the expected outcome of an acquisition that, in the Government's estimation, provides the greatest overall benefit in response to the requirement.
