The U.S. Department of Commerce (DOC), National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Data Buoy Center intends to procure the following supplies: QTY: 25 P/N: GMX500 Must include: RS232, Standard ASCII, Configuration Software, User’s guide, 2 year warranty, Preset for 1Hz output rate using RS-232 with 19200 baud rate Description: Gill MaxiMet all-in-one sensor Measures barometric pressure, air temperature, wind speed, and direction with built in compass (cost includes shipping to NDBC). This is a brand name requirement (Brand Name Justification attached) This acquisition is being processed under the procedures of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Quotes received from contractors not registered in SAM will not be considered for award. This is a firm fixed price purchase order. The Government intends to make an award to the responsive responsible quoter providing the lowest price technically acceptable. The Government reserves the right to make a comparative evaluation of quotes in determining best value in accordance with FAR 13.106-2(b)(3). "Best value" means the expected outcome of an acquisition that, in the Government's estimation, provides the greatest overall benefit in response to the requirement.
