The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) intends to award a firm fixed price contract for 120 Replacement Kathrein Dipole Antenna Elements in accordance with the Statement of Need for National Logistics Support Center in Grandview, MO. The Governments intends to make an award to the responsive responsible quoter providing the lowest price technically acceptable in accordance with FAR 13.106-2(B)(3). Brand Name: These dipole units are being procured as spare parts for existing antenna assemblies NWS already has in service. This product is proprietary to Kathrein. Substitutes are not available as this is a proprietary product. The K552921 is required because the dipole assemblies being procured must be form, fit, function and environmentally compatible with the other NWR antenna elements already installed at fielded sites, which are also model K552921’s. The original equipment (Kathrein K552921) was subjected to, and required to meet stringent qualification and environmental testing requirements. DOC, Eastern Acquisition Division requires that all contractors doing business with this office be registered with the System for Award Management (SAM). No award can be made to a company not registered in SAM. Contractors active in SAM have a unique entity identifier (UEI) that is used to do business with the federal government. The Government has moved to a free new, non-proprietary identifier that will have to be requested in, and assigned by, the System for Award Management (SAM.gov).
