By having the exact same cards as a true drop?in spares, we can easily replace the cards while in the field. Any other vendor or product would require considerable time and research in the testing and installation, thus causing loss of data and not meeting NOAA commitments and contractual obligations. Any other product would require considerable re-programing (form & fit).
