Lithium Battery Packs This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice and in accordance with the simplified acquisition procedures authorized in FAR Part 13. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is being issued as a Total Small Business Set-Aside. The associated NAICS code is 335912. The small business size standard is 1,000 employees. This is a new requirement. LPTA RFQ, quotes can be provided on vendor's quote form, no SF18 provided. Pacific Marine Environmental Laboratory's (PMEL) Engineering Development Division is requesting the supply of 144 custom lithium battery packs for PMEL GPS mooring buoys. These battery packs will replace the existing battery packs on the moorings which have reached their usable lifespan. Additionally, these packs will be used to power 8 new buoys associated with the NASA SWOT mission. See attached Statement of Need for full list of requirements and drawings.
