Question 1: The scope of work says to direct the loading of the vessel. We are not operating the lifting stages at loading / unloading locations, correct (only directing and monitoring)? Answer 1: The transporter just needs to approve that the load is acceptable from a transport perspective. Question 2: Do you have dimensions & material of the blocks, that were previously used for transport, or any additional information regarding the blocks? Answer 2: The photos provided are the only documentation on the previously used blocking. Question 3: Frequency: How often do you arrange shipments? Answer 3: This requirement is for one shipment only. Additional shipments are not required at this time. END OF AMENDMENT 1. This is a new requirement. There is no incumbent. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice and in accordance with the simplified acquisition procedures authorized in FAR Part 13. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is being issued as a total small business set-aside. The associated NAICS code is 484121. The small business size standard is $34.0 million. The Government intends to award a low priced, technically acceptable, firm fixed-price purchase order. This combined solicitation/synopsis is for services, non-personal, to provide all labor, equipment and materials (unless otherwise provided herein) necessary for vessel transportation services for the Great Lakes Environmental Research Laboratory in Ann Arbor, MI, in accordance with the Statement of Work..
