Combined Synopsis/Solicitation (Best Value) The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Office of Marine and Aviation Operations/Marine Operations Center – Pacific requires the procurement of a vendor to provide modifications to their fish table. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. (ii) Solicitation number NM-AN2190-22-00489 is issued as a firm fixed price, commercial, request for quotation (RFQ). This procurement has been set aside for small businesses. (iii) The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2022-04. (iv) The NAICS code for this acquisition is 332312, Fabricated Structural Metal Manufacturing. This solicitation is being posted as a total small business set aside with a size limit of 500 employees. (v) Line items are as follows: CLIN 1: Modification to spec of existing hydraulic fish handling table (vi) Description of requirements for the items to be acquired: The NOAA ship Shimada requires the procurement of a vendor to provide modifications to their fish table. The objective is to replace the existing system of wooden slats with removable aluminum sides and a functional aft facing hinged door. The new aluminum should fit securely onto the existing base and be free of any sharp edges or protrusions which could snag a net. The NOAA Ship Shimada also requests fabrication of an extended frame structure that slants inboard to guide the cod end of a fishing net towards the opening of the table.
