The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Office of Marine and Aviation Operations/Marine Operations Center - Atlantic requires an AML MVP-X CTD-type sensors for use with Thomas Jefferson’s MVP 100. These sensors are used to acquire sound speed profiles critical to multibeam surveys. Thomas Jefferson currently owns two of these instruments which regularly need to be returned to the manufacturer for calibration and certification and are also prone to faults and failures during operations. Having an additional two units would prevent loss of operational capabilities due to malfunctions or delays in return of equipment. Expected/quoted delivery is 2-4 weeks from date of purchase. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number NM-AN2190-21-01626 TJ_MVP-X Sensors is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2021-06. This acquisition is a small business set-aside under NAICS code 334511, Search, Detection, Navigation, Guidance, Aeronautical, and Nautical System and Instrument Manufacturing; the small business size standard is 1,250 Employees.
