COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Office of Marine and Aviation Operations/Marine Operations Center The NOAA Hydrographic Survey ships carry crewed Hydrographic Survey Launches (HSLs) to perform Hydrographic Surveys in shallower waters and in areas that the ship cannot efficiently survey in. These HSLs are launched/recovered using VestDavit davit systems. NOAA Ship THOMAS JEFFERSON is performing a proof-of-concept operation using an Uncrewed Surface Vehicle (USV), this USV must have appropriate cradle assemblies to mate the vehicle to the davit system for launch and recovery of the USV to conduct hydrographic surveys. These new cradle assemblies are necessary due to the significant differences between the HSL hull form and the USV/DDS hull form. (II) This solicitation is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). Submit written quotes on RFQ Number NM-AN2120-22-01455 TJ_DRiXDDS_CRADLE ASSEMBLY. (III) The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2022-06. (IV) This solicitation is being issued as a Total Small Business Set-Aside. The associated NAICS code is 336612. The small business size standard is 750 Employees. (V) This specification contains requirements to Obtain the services of a steel fabrication company to procure materials and fabricate the DRiX/DDS Cradle assembly. The CLIN0001 Vendor services for steel fabrication and assembly of the DRiX/DDS Cradle assembly Scope: 2.1. The intent of this work item is to obtain the services of a steel fabrication company capable of procuring materials, outfitting and welding services to fabricate and deliver a DRiX/DDS Cradle assembly to the NOAA Ship Thomas Jefferson. 2.2. The period of performance for the assembly and delivery of the DRiX/DDS shall commence at contract award and delivery shall be on or before 23 August 2022. *additional details can be found on the Statement of Need attached (VII) Date(s) and place(s) of delivery and acceptance.
