COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Office of Marine and Aviation Operations/Marine Operations Center the NOAA Ship Okeanos Explorer requires removal worn cable from traction winch a replace with new cable. New cable and empty spool will be GFE. (II) This solicitation is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). Submit written quotes on RFQ Number NM-AN2120-22-01003. (III) The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2022-04. (V) This combined solicitation/synopsis is for purchase of the following commercial item: SCOPE This specification contains requirements to Remove and replace the wire on the Okeanos Explorer Traction Winch. References None Government Furnished Material The new cable and a spare spool for removing the old cable will be provided by the government. Requirements CONTRACTOR will remove the worn cable from the traction winch a spool it on the provided empty drum. The government will provide removal service on the old cable from the spooler. The government will then place the new cable on the spooler. The new cable will then be spooled on the traction winch. The ship’s force be responsible for attaching the new cable to the drum. Generally, the purpose of these exchanges will be to: Allow contractors to better prepare for and propose on business opportunities. Advise as to technologies and solutions within the marketplace that the Government may not be aware of, or is not fully benefiting from. Identify constraints in transparency and process. The AGO Ombudsman will objectively, reasonably, and responsibly collaborate with parties and recommend fair, impartial, and constructive solutions to the matters presented to him/her.
