NIST is seeking sources capable of completing repairs on a fire engine and a hazmat truck, with a stated intent to issue a sole-source award to Atlantic Emergency Solutions, Inc. if no alternate sources are identified. The repairs are needed because additional issues were identified during a prior diagnostic, and a new contract is required to complete the work. The Government believes it is in its best interest to complete the repairs with the current vendor, as the vehicles are already at their facility in Manassas, Virginia, and moving them would cause unnecessary costs and delays. This is a sources sought notice to inform potential market research. Questions regarding the notice must be submitted by 2:00 p.m. Eastern Time on March 12, 2026.
