Manufacturing Execution System
The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) seeks information on commercial Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) software and technical support for a six-month benchmarking study comparing standards-based and AI-assisted integration with additive manufacturing machines. The contractor must provide MES software with an open API, integrable with EOS 290 and Renishaw RenAM500 machines and their emulators, to support tasks including developing a neutral data model translation layer, executing both standards-based and AI-driven integration, and conducting comparative testing. The study will be performed at NIST-owned facilities using their existing AM machines. No budget amount is specified in this sources sought notice. Responses are requested as soon as possible, with questions due by July 31, 2026.
