NIST is conducting market research through a combined sources sought notice and notice of intent to award a sole source contract for Mid-Wave Infrared Distributed Feedback (DFB) laser systems. The requirement covers two assembled, optically aligned laser systems with specific wavelengths (2700 nm and 3000 nm) and associated hardware to support chemical measurement and spectroscopic research. NIST has not yet determined its acquisition strategy; while Nanoplus America is currently identified, it will consider a competitive acquisition if other capable sources express interest. Interested parties are invited to voluntarily submit company details, product specifications, standard commercial pricing, and compliance information to assist NIST’s market research.
