Graphite Furnace Atomic Absorption Spectrometer
NIST in Gaithersburg, MD is seeking market information from vendors capable of supplying a graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrometer (GFAAS) to complement its ICP-MS capability for trace-element certification of standard reference materials. The required GFAAS must measure liquid samples with a Cu detection limit of 0.02 µg/L or better using the 324.8 nm line, 50 µL sample volume, and 10 replications, and must support direct solid-sample introduction without digestion. Vendors are asked to provide company and contact details, business size/SAM status, product specifications and country of manufacture, standard commercial pricing and terms, regulatory/supply-chain compliance information, and existing government contract vehicle details. NIST also requests information on domestic end-product availability and potential revisions that would improve consideration of Made in America products. This is a sources-sought notice only; no solicitation is currently available, and the government is not obligated to award a contract or pay respondents.
