OVERALL TOTAL $_____________________ (VI) Description of requirements is as follows: STATEMENT OF NEED FOR SUPPLY OR SERVICE NFFP7230-19-02766A 1.0 GENERAL 1.1 BACKGROUND The Northwest Fisheries Science Center (NWFSC), of the National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS), National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Department of Commerce (DOC) is a government agency charged with the mission of stewardship for living marine resources. 1.2 OBJECTIVE The Center provides scientific and technical support to NMFS for the management, conservation, and wise use of the Northwest region's marine and anadromous resources. This statement of work (SON) is to define the specific equipment necessary for the procurement of two (2) seawater sand filters. This new equipment is to replace two (2) existing sand filters at the Manchester Marine Lab. These filters complete the first stage and are the main component of a seawater filtration system.
