The purpose of this announcement constitutes a pre-solicitation announcement of a proposed contract action pursuant to FAR 5.204. This is not a solicitation. No response is requested at this time. Description of Work: The work consists of maintenance, repair and inspection services of USCG SOLAS life rafts for NOAA/NMFS/NEFSC Fisheries Sampling Branch located at 25 Bernard Saint Jean Drive, East Falmouth, Massachusetts, 02536 in accordance with the applicable statement of work. Period of Performance: 15 September 2020 through 14 September 2021 (plus four option years in sequence). Solicitation will be issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ) and incorporates provisions and clauses that are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2020-08, effective August 13, 2020. This acquisition will be conducted in accordance with FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR Part 13, Simplified Procedures. The Government anticipates awarding a firm fixed price contract to the contractor whose offer represents the Best Value based on price and non-price evaluation factors (Price and Performance, Technical).
