Full FedRamp certification is set to be achieved by the end of 2023. Is this acceptable to the Government? Answer 1: This could be an option. Question 2: Will a speed of up to 140 letters per minute be acceptable to the Government? Answer 2: Yes Question 3: I believe the term dynamic weighing should instead be External Scale. Dynamic Weigh platform’s do not weigh items of that weight nor does our competitors equivalent WOW scale. An external scale can weigh this weight of items. Can you please confirm? Answer 3: Confirmed. Question 4: Will a color touch screen smaller than 15” be acceptable to the Government? Answer 4: Yes, if there is an option of enlarging the text such as with a phone or a tablet, otherwise it would not be acceptable. Question 5: Per USPS regulations, only the manufacturer of a postage machine can transfer funds from meter to meter. For example, Pitney Bowes to Pitney Bowes, or Quadient to Quadient. If from Pitney Bowes to Quadient, the USPS will send a check in the amount of remaining postage left on the meter being replaced. Answer 5: Information received. END OF AMENDMENT 1. The incumbent contract was awarded to Pitney Bowes for an aggregate of $13,279.80. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice and in accordance with the simplified acquisition procedures authorized in FAR Part 13. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is being issued as a total small business set-aside. The associated NAICS code is 532420. The small business size standard is $40.0 million. The Government intends to award a low priced, technically acceptable, firm fixed-price purchase order. This combined solicitation/synopsis is for services, non-personal, to provide all labor, equipment and materials (unless otherwise provided herein) necessary for the lease of a Pitney Bowes mail meter, Brand Name or Equal, at the Greater Atlantic Region Fisheries Office (GARFO) located in Gloucester, MA for one base year with four option years.
