COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION Qty (5) 25x150 binoculars (I) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice and in accordance with the simplified acquisition procedures authorized in FAR Part 13. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. (II) This solicitation is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). (V) This combined solicitation/synopsis is for purchase of the following commercial items: CLIN 0001 DO NOT OFFER SUBSTITUTIONS - THESE ARE THE GOVERNMENTS MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS. ******QUANTITY REQUIRED IS 5 25 x 150 binoculars (i.e., 25x magnification and 150mm diameter objective lenses) Straight view (i.e., the ocular lenses/eyepiece is not angled at 45 or 90 degrees, etc.) Water and fog proof (i.e., 0 ring sealed and nitrogen purged and can be mounted on a ship for up to 3 months without failing or degrading with daily care) Long eye relief (>18mm) (People can use them both with and without glasses without image vignetting) Angle of view 2.7 degrees Adjustable diopters on both lenses lnterpupillary Adjustable (i.e., to accommodate the varying distance between people's eyes) Must be able to accommodate installation of a post-production 20 reticle scale exactly like the one in the photo below where 1 reticle spans 0.07 degrees.
