THIS IS A COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION FOR COMMERCIAL ITEMS PREPARED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE FORMAT IN SUBPART 12.6, AS SUPPLEMENTED WITH ADDITIONAL INFORMATION INCLUDED IN THIS NOTICE. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLICITATION; QUOTATIONS ARE BEING REQUESTED AND A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. Solicitation number NB688000-24-00636 is a Request for Quotation (RFQ) conducted under the authority of FAR 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This RFQ, incorporated provisions, and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2024-02. The associated NAICS 334516 has a small business size standard of 1,000 employees. This requirement is being competed as a Total Small Business set aside. The Basis of Award is Best Value. The Government will award a firm-fixed price purchase order resulting from the responsible offeror whose quotation conforming to the requirements of the solicitation represents the Best Value to the Government considering the Government's evaluation factors provided in the attached addenda. See attached Instructions and Evaluation Criteria, and Basis for Award. Vendors shall submit quotations so that NIST receives them no later than 11:00 a.m. (Mountain Time) on February 23, 2024. Fax quotations shall not be acceptad. Email quotations shall be accepted at lisa.stevens@nist.gov. Please reference the RFQ number in the subject line of email communications and attachments. Vendor's quotations shall not be deemed received by the Government until the quotation enters the email box set forth above. The NIST Ion Storage Group (ISG) requires a high-precision laser-cutted diamond wafer for ion trapping. The purpose of this notice is to identify organizations capable of providing the necessary items and meeting the minimum contractor qualifications. This announcement is not a Request for Proposals or Quote (RFP/RFQ) and does not commit the Government to award a contract now or in the future.?The information contained in this notice is?DRAFT?only and, as such, is subject to change prior to the issuance of a solicitation.
