This solicitation is a Request for Quote RFQ. RFQ number is NB688000-22-01469. This is a combined synopsis solicitation conducted under FAR 12.6 and 13 and procedures from FAR 15 will not be used. This synopsis/solicitation incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2022-06 (effective 05/6/2022). The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST)’s Atomic Devices & Instrumentation Group requires a high power laser system for addressing transitions in Rb atoms near 780 nm. NIST requires a standalone laser system which can generate spectrally pure light at this wavelength with multiple Watts of power. NIST additionally requires a laser amplifier operating at 780 nm that can be used with existing laser source to produce multiple Watts of power per the attached Combined Synopsis/Solicitation.
