T... This solicitation is a Request for Quote RFQ. RFQ number is NB686070-21-01986. This is a combined synopsis solicitation conducted under FAR 12.6 and 13.5 and procedures from FAR 15 will not be used. This synopsis/solicitation incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2021-06 (effective 07/12/2021). The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST)’s Fiber Sources and Applications requires a compact pump diode laser box that includes the necessary current drives, temperature controls, cabling, and mounting to hold four laser pump diodes in butterfly packages that take up to 1.6A of drive current and have 5W thermoelectric coolers. NIST requires the entire enclosure to be in a compact, rack mountable form factor for a 19 inch rack within a 2U enclosure. The pump diode lasers are not included but should be easily mounted within the box by the user. The system should include interlocks to avoid thermal runaway of the pump didodes per the attached Combined Synopsis/Solicitation.
