The purpose of this Amendment is to Revise Statement of Work, Answer Questions and Extend the closing date to September 1, 2021 per the attached documents. All other terms and conditions remain unchanged. This solicitation is a Request for Quote RFQ. RFQ number is NB686070-21-01985. This is a combined synopsis solicitation conducted under FAR 12.6 and 13.5 and procedures from FAR 15 will not be used. This synopsis/solicitation incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2021-06 (effective 07/12/2021). The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST)’s Fiber Sources and Applications Group requires a high- performance gimbal and associated supply / controller to precisely steer laser beams across a bi-directional link. The required gimbal must be robust and solidly constructed, have microradian-scale resolution and repeatability, high slew rate for both elevation and azimuth, carry loads in excess of 50 pounds, and have the ability to respond to dynamic input signals per the attached Combined Synopsis/Solicitation.
