This is a combined synopsis solicitation conducted under FAR 12.6 and 13.5 and procedures from FAR 15 will not be used. This synopsis/solicitation incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2021-06 (effective 07/12/2021). The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Physical Measurements Lab (PML) has a requirement for one (1) Integrating Sphere. NIST is developing an instrument to measure extreme laser power with high accuracy. A critical component is an “integrating sphere” that will absorb and scatter the high-power laser light per the attached combined synopsis solicitation.
