Polarization-Entangled Photon Source
The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) is seeking information from industry sources to determine the availability of a polarization-entangled photon source based on spontaneous parametric down-conversion, using a periodically poled lithium niobate waveguide. The required system must accept an external pump laser and generate high-quality entangled photon pairs, with delivery, installation, and training anticipated within 16 weeks after order receipt. Performance of services will be at the NIST Gaithersburg site. This is a market research notice only, not a solicitation, and responses must be submitted by the closing date to the specified contact. No budget amount is specified in the description.
