Provide a revised Requirements and Specifications document that removes Specification 1.14 (four fiber outlets following specifications 1.11 and 1.12). 2. Quotations are due to the contract specialist, Aaron Ritter, at aaron.ritter@nist.gov no later than August 10, 2022, at 10:00 am (Mountain Time). Revised quotations will be accepted up until the submission deadline. 3. All other terms and conditions of the original solicitation remain in effect. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- THIS IS A COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION FOR COMMERCIAL ITEMS PREPARED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE FORMAT IN SUBPART 12.6, AS SUPPLEMENTED WITH ADDITIONAL INFORMATION INCLUDED IN THIS NOTICE. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLICITATION; QUOTATIONS ARE BEING REQUESTED AND A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. Solicitation number NB672010-22-02004 is a Request for Quotation (RFQ) conducted under the authority of FAR 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This RFQ, incorporated provisions, and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2022-06. The associated NAICS code 334516, Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing, has a small business size standard of 1,000 employees. This acquisition is being procured as a Full and Open Competition. The National Institute of Standards and Technology's (NIST) Communications Technology Laboratory has need for a continuous wave fiber laser to seed an electro-optic frequency comb. Narrow linewidth, high power operation at 1550 nm with temperature and electronic wavelength tuning are critical for the experiment. Attached is the Requirements and Specifications describing other salient characteristis and contract requirements for this solicitation. All quoted items must meet all requirement listed in the Requirements and Specifications document (Attachment A). Date(s) and place(s) of delivery and acceptance and FOB point are required in accordance with the attached Requirements and Specifications Document. The Government will award a firm fixed price purchase order resulting from the responsible offeror whose quotation conforming to the requirements of the solicitation represents the BEST VALUE to the Government considering the Government’s evaluation factors provided in the attached Addenda. See attached Instructions and Evaluation Criteria, and Basis for Award. Inquiries regarding this RFQ shall be submitted electonically to the contract specialist, Aaron Ritter, at aaron.ritter@nist.gov utilizing Attachment B - Question Submittal Form, no later than 10:00 am (Mountain Time) on June 22, 2022.
