The National Institute of Standards and Technology in Boulder, CO is seeking sources to fulfill the following requirements. I. BACKGROUND INFORMATION The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Materials Measurement Laboratory (MML) in Boulder, CO in conjunction with the NIST Center for Neutron Research (NCNR) in Gaithersburg, MD has developed a mechanical load frame intended for installation on the NG-6 beamline at NCNR for use on the Transmission Bragg Edge Strain Tensor Tomography (TBESTT) project. A controller is necessary to drive the axial-torsional actuator, which is already installed on the mechanical load frame. Without the requested controller, the mechanical load frame is not operational. II. Purpose The purpose of this procurement action is to purchase a controller for an MTS axial-torsional actuator. III. DELIVERABLES · MTS FlexTest 40 controller for axial-torsional actuator · Associated cables IV. SPECIFICATIONS Controller for an MTS axial-torsional actuator. The controller must have the following specifications: · Eight channel analog input with breakout cables · Eight channel analog output with breakout cables · 2-channel UART/encoder · Handset · Power supply with 1.5 KVA, 115V, 50/60Hz · Cable kit including: o Load cell cable, RJ50 to PT connections o Torque cell cable, RJ50 to PT connections o LVDT cable, RJ50 to PT connections o Auxiliary power cable, WYE, 24V/15V o Ground cable, 10 AWG o · Remote emergency stop · On-site install and commissioning V. GOVERNMENT FURNISHED PROPERTY None VI. DELIVERABLES Description Quantity Due Date Axial-Rotational Actuator Controller One (1) 95 days after award of this requirement. VII. DELIVERABLE SCHEDULE The axial-rotational actuator controller will be delivered to the MTS technician and will be installed within 95 days of award. If your company believes they can fulfill the above requirements, then please send your capabilities documentation to Angela Hitt at angela.hitt@nist.gov by 31 July 2019.
