COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION NB646030-24-02630 Gas Cylinders This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6- Streamlined Procedures for Evaluation and Solicitation for Commercial Items, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested, and a separate written solicitation document will not be issued. This solicitation is being issued under the authority of FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This solicitation is a Request for Quotations (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2024-06, effective 8/29/2024. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 332420 – Metal Tank (heavy gauge) with a small business size standard of 750 employees. The acquisition is a Brand-Name Only Full and Open competition. The National Institute of Standards & Technology (NIST), Material Measurement Laboratory (MML), Gas Sensing Metrology Group (GSMG) is maintaining groups of Primary gas Standard Materials (PSMs). A large amount of PSMs are depleted and GSMG is in urgent need of producing replacement PSMs. GSMG requires Eighty (80) non-SGS gas cylinders with packless CGA-350 brass valves and, an optional maximum of fifty (50) empty (size 30 cu-ft.) SGS® or fifty (50) empty additional optional non-SGS Luxfer aluminum compressed gas cylinders with packless CGA-660 stainless steel valves to make NIST Primary Standard Materials. Cylinders will be filled at NIST.
