The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) is seeking sources for the repair and corrective maintenance of the Lightning Protection System (LPS) on the Central Utility Plant (CUP), based on deficiencies identified in the attached SOW and inspection report. Work includes repairing bonding and grounding issues, securing rooftop conductors, replacing or reinstalling air terminals, and ensuring compliance with NFPA 780 standards. All materials must be corrosion-resistant and compatible with existing components. Surge Protection Device (SPD) installation is excluded. Contractors are responsible for all necessary fall protection and must assess roof conditions accordingly. Personnel must be qualified, with resumes submitted showing credentials such as LPI Master Installer or equivalent. Interested parties are requested to identify their business size and socio-economic status (e.g., Small Business, 8(a), HUBZone, SDVOSB, WOSB). Respondents should also submit a brief capabilities statement demonstrating relevant experience in lightning protection system installation or repair.
