DESCRIPTION: This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Sub Part 12.6—Streamlined procedures for evaluation and solicitation for commercial items-as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a separate written solicitation document will not be issued. The solicitation is being issued using simplified acquisition procedures under the authority of FAR 1.5, Simplified procedures for certain commercial items. This solicitation is a Request for Quotation (RFQ). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-101/10-26-2018. The National Institute for Standards and Technology (NIST) Infrastructure Services Division owns an Eaton 9395P-600-900-W8 UPS (uninterruptible power system) and associated Eaton Cellwatch battery monitoring system. The UPS supports production web hosting, scientific, and application servers, network appliances, security systems, backup systems, as well as applications installed in the BCF (Boulder Computing Facility, building 92, in Boulder, CO). **The service technicians who will be performing the onsite services must be employed by the manufacturer of the UPS equipment. This must meet the technical specifications in accordance with the Statement of Work. Any quoters must furnish written certification that they are an approved / authorized Eaton service sales partner. This shall be submitted along with quote submission. This Request for Quotation (RFQ) is conducted under the authority of FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures with a NAICS code of 334515—Instrument Manufacturing for Measuring and Testing Electricity and Electrical Signals with a small business size standard of 750. This acquisition is Full and Open. NIST anticipates, to award a single, firm-fixed price purchase order. All vendors shall provide a firm-fixed price quotation in accordance with the Instructions to Offerors. All communications and documents must include the solicitation number NB1840002000607. Please include any shipping and/or freight charges if applicable. Offers are due on February 12th, 2020 at 3:00 PM, Mountain Standard Time (MST). Offer shall be emailed to lia.arthofer@nist.gov. Offerors must submit all questions concerning this solicitation in writing electronically to lia.arthofer@nist.gov. Questions must be received no later than February 6th, 2020 at 2:00 PM, Mountain Standard Time (MST). Any responses to questions will be made in writing, without identification of the questioner, and will be included in an amendment to the solicitation.
