The U.S. Census Bureau in support of the Business Intelligence Supporting Service is seeking information on how Business Intelligence (BI) tools are leveraged to help aid in the selection of a new platform for the Enterprise Reporting Support System (ERSS). The goal is to determine which tool(s)/service(s) could potentially be implemented across the Census enterprise to track the progress, cost, and data quality for a variety of Census data collection operations. The BI tool/service should enable the following functionality at an absolute minimum: the creation and display of tabular reports, interactive dashboards and data visualizations to aid in outlier detection, tailored automated emails, enforceable role-based permissions, and support other business intelligence features such as data extracts and creation of custom views.
