The requirement is to provide Shoreline Mapping Services for the U.S. shoreline including U.S. territories in the Caribbean, the Pacific, and other areas of interest. This will allow the National Ocean Service's (NOS) Coastal Mapping Program (CMP) to accomplish its mission to restore confidence in NOAA products and services and to provide for safe navigation and property protection. Dewberry, Quantum, and Fugro are uniquely qualified to provide these services to NOS as they are the only known firms capable of performing the end-to-end support for the requirement. The sole source will ensure continuity of services and mitigate adverse operational impact. The follow-on contract will be competed on the open market. A Notice of Intent to Sole Source these requirements were posted on FedBizOpps on April 18, 2019. No responses were received. A Justification for Other than Full and Open Competition was prepared on a class basis and approved by the Department of Commerce Competition Advocate on June 26, 2019.
