The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) seeks information on commercial vendors that can provide a specific set of high vacuum turbomolecular pumps, cryogenic pumps, ion pumps, dry roughing pumps, and wet roughing pumps listed below. After results of this market research are obtained and analyzed, NIST may conduct a competitive procurement. NIST is highly interested in determining if there is a Small Business manufacturing market to meet this need. 1. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: NIST is seeking both new and refurbished vacuum pumps. a. Refurbished pumps shall include a full “as new” warranty. b. Refurbished pumps include documentation of the refurbishment and performance test certification. c. The pump's vacuum and mechanical connections should meet all specifications set forth in the attached spreadsheet without any onsite modifications required. d. The pumps should be configured for the proper voltage, current, and phase, and have the wiring terminations as set forth in the attached spreadsheet. e. The pumps listed in the attached spreadsheet are subject to change as new technology makes certain models obsolete. The list of pumps and pump series is shown in the attachment, titled "Pump List". 2. DELIVERY: NIST seeks information to determine if vendors are capable of providing delivery of all pumps in less than 3 months ARO. NIST is seeking responses from all responsible sources, including large, foreign, and small businesses. Small businesses are defined under the associated NAICS code for this effort, 333914, as those domestic sources having 750 employees or less. Please include your company's size classification and socioeconomic status in any response to this notice. Please note: If responding to this notice, please indicate if you are currently registered or registration pending with the 333914 NAICS. Companies that manufacture or distribute pumps are requested to email a detailed report describing their abilities to forest.crumpler@nist.gov no later than the response date for this sources sought notice. NIST is interested in knowing if vendors are able to supply all of the pumps identified in the attached spreadsheet. Also, are vendors able to firm fix price pumps for 3 years? The report should include achievable specifications and any other information relevant to your product or capabilities. Also, the following information is requested to be provided as part of the response to this sources sought notice: 1. Name of the company that manufactures the system components for which specifications are provided. 2. Name of company(ies) that are authorized to sell the system components, their addresses, and a point of contact for the company (name, phone number, fax number and email address). 3. Indication of number of days, after receipt of order that is typical for delivery of such systems. 4. Indication of whether each instrument for which specifications are sent to forest.crumpler@nist.gov are currently on one or more GSA Federal Supply Schedule contracts and, if so, the GSA FSS contract number(s). 5. Any other relevant information that is not listed above which the Government should consider in developing its minimum specifications and finalizing its market research.
