The goal of this Request For Information (RFI) is to collect information and Sources in order to inform the next step of your decision process. The objective is to collect a list of sources that can meet one or more of our needs, also look at possible consolidation options. Responses from potential sources should detail information about their business, if they are active in SAM, and their business size, along with details of what they can provide, specifically based on our needs outlined below. All Responses to this RFI should be 10 pages or less. Responses to this RFI should be emailed to heather.mahle@noaa.gov and must include solicitation # ABL-20063 in the Subject line of the email to be considered responsive. Services We Require: ABI3130/3730 A one year service agreement contract (with the opportunity to extend for a second and a third year) for the Applied Biosystems 3130xl and 3730xl DNA Analyzers. The service requirement for the Applied Biosystems 3130xl (16 capillary) and 3730xl (96 capillary, but currently using as a 48 capillary array) is to include full support within 96 hours for all parts failures due to normal wear and tear (parts, labor, travel), one preventative maintenance visit per year (parts, labor, travel), and unlimited telephone support. Preventative maintenance includes travel to and from the site, annual inspection, re-calibration, performance verification of subassembly and electro-mechanical components, and certification that the instrument is performing to specifications. Consumables or consumable parts (polymer, capillary array, syringes, running buffer) are not covered, although the laser is covered for both the 3130xl and 3730xl. These systems are currently under service contracts and have been serviced within the last year. The serial number of the 3130xl is 18222-019. The serial number of the 3730xl is 18127-013. The successful applicant must have at least 3 years of experience servicing Applied Biosystems 3130xl and 3730xl DNA Analyzers. They must have access to the necessary parts and software updates to service these pieces of equipment within 96 hours of an initiated service call. Janus robot A one year service agreement contract (with the opportunity to extend for a second and a third year) for the Perkin-Elmer Janus Platform (8 Tip with MDT Heads) (Serial number: 4207949) and P50/96 MDT disposable tip head (Perkin-Elmer item number 70243541). The service requirement is to include on-site support within 96 hours for all parts failures due to normal wear and tear (parts, labor, travel), one preventative maintenance visit per year (parts, labor, travel), unlimited software and firmware updates, and unlimited telephone support. Preventative maintenance includes travel to and from the site, annual inspection, re-calibration, performance verification of subassembly and electro-mechanical components, and certification that the instrument is performing to specifications. Consumables are not covered. This system has been in service for approximately 11 years, is currently under a service contract until October 30, 2020 , and has been serviced within the last year. Miseq A one year service agreement contract (with the opportunity to extend for a second, third, and fourth year) for the Illumina MiSeq DNA sequencing platform (Serial number: M05569). The service requirement is to include full support within 96 hours for all parts failures due to normal wear and tear (parts, labor, travel), one preventative maintenance visit per year (parts, labor, travel), unlimited software and firmware updates, and unlimited telephone support. Preventative maintenance includes travel to and from the site, annual inspection, re- calibration, performance verification of subassembly and electro-mechanical components, and certification that the instrument is performing to specifications. Consumables are not covered. This systems has been in service for approximately 1 year and is currently under a service contract until December 26, 2020. The successful Contractor must have at least 3 years of experience servicing the Illumina MiSeq system. They must have access to the necessary parts and software updates to service the MiSeq within 96 hours of an initiated service call. QuantStudio A one year service agreement contract (with the opportunity to extend for a second, third, and fourth year) for the Life Technologies QuantStudio12k Flex with openarray block (serial number 285880453). The service requirement includes full support within 96 hours for all parts failures due to normal wear and tear (parts, labor, travel), one preventative maintenance visit per year (parts, labor, travel) and unlimited telephone support. Preventative maintenance includes travel to and from the site, annual inspection, recalibration, performance verification of subassembly and electro-mechanical components, and certification that the instrument is performing to specifications. Consumables or consumable parts are not covered. This system is currently under service contract and is in good operating condition. Qiagen robot A one year service contract (with the opportunity to extend for a second, third, and fourth year) for the QIAcube HT (Serial number: 5896) and the Corbett CAS 1820 X-tractor (Serial number: A070705). The service requirement is to include full support within 96 hours for all parts failures due to normal wear and tear (parts, labor, travel), one preventative maintenance visit per year (parts, labor, travel), unlimited software and firmware updates, and unlimited telephone support. Preventative maintenance includes travel to and from the site, annual inspection, re-calibration, performance verification of subassembly and electro- mechanical components, and certification that the instrument is performing to specifications. Consumables are not covered. These systems have been in service for approximately 12 and 15 years, respectively, and received preventative maintenance by a Qiagen technician within the last year.
